HOOP DANCE WEST COAST REGIONALS

Mark your calendars as we are getting ready for the second annual West Coast Hoop Dance Championship!

New Location:

100 E. California Ave., Ridgecrest, CA.

This year we will be hosting the Hoop Dance Contests on Sat, Nov. 7, We will also celebrate with a Social Pow Wow. Registration is now available online. Please visit the West Coast Hoop Dance page to scan the QR Code and register.

Director Sage Romero will join Co-author Loralee Sepsey and share, "Alice Piper Speaks Up" with students of Los Altos, Ca schools. Signed books will be available at the event.

Lone Pine Art in the Park

AkaMya will be presenting for the annual Arts in the Parks in Lone Pine. This is happening the same time as the Lone Pine Film Festival, so make your way over to the park to support the arts and have fun.

Bishop Paiute Tribe Farmers Market

5:00 pm- Live Music and sharing with Director Sage Romero during the weekly Farmers Market. We will bring flutes; clappers and a Pow Wow/Hand drum, so bring those dancing shoes.​​​

Antelope Valley Indian Museum Celebration

Lancaster, CA

11am - 4pm each day. Annual American Indian Day Celebration at the Antelope Valley Indian Museum. Come see live presentations, music, dance, vendors and food.

Hoop Dance presentation and booth at the event. Event is also hosting a Pow Wow during the event, so bring your regalia, or just come and enjoy a day of celebration.

Bay Area

Director Sage Romero will tour Bay area schools and attend events for the "Alice Piper Speaks Up" book release.

Regional West Coast Hoop Dance Championship

Ridgecrest, CA

9am - 6pm 

AkaMya hosts the second annual Hoop Dance championship for the West Coast Regionals. Booths, presentations, food, and a social Pow Wow will take place on this day of celebration and friendly competition.
